A Neo-NeoPangea Studio!

It was bound to happen sooner or later… NeoPangea has officially outgrown its cozy West Reading studio at 326 Penn Ave. Although the entire team will miss the space that has seen so much creativity and success over the past six years, we won’t have to say goodbye to the energetic boutique atmosphere of West Reading; we’re relocating to a much larger space just a few blocks away this November!

“Designing is our passion, so being able to invent a physical space to call home is extremely fulfilling and exciting,” said Brett Bagenstose, NeoPangea’s founder and Baron of Pixels. “It’s a little sad to imagine leaving our current office. We renovated it ourselves in 2008, but our team has grown a lot since then. Our new studio will give us a lot more room to collaborate, grow, and play. We’ll surely have a wake to immortalize it… any excuse to get into a kilt.”

Renovation plans were recently approved for our sprawling future studio at 215 S. 5th Avenue in West Reading, a building which began its life as a bank. With a focus on recycled materials and minimizing our environmental impact, renovations begin in earnest the first week of August.

Led by Reading architectural firm Designworks Architects, the building renovations will make extensive use of reclaimed wood, biobased flooring, and other eco-friendly materials and processes in order to minimize NeoPangea’s environmental impact. In fact, an estimated 70-90 percent of the materials used for the renovations may be recycled!

Until renovations are complete on what will surely be the coolest office on the east coast, we’ll be sharing 326 Penn with its new owners, Au Production and Management and Acting Up Studio. Drop by, welcome them to the neighborhood, and learn about their expert training programs in theatre, on-camera acting techniques for adults, teens, and children, and management for actors, musicians, and athletes. They’re good people, and we’re confident that they’ll take great care of our former building.

In the meantime, we’re working on some really exciting projects while we prepare for our imminent move. (We’ve gotta pay for it somehow.) Be on the lookout for progress updates, tearful farewells, and invitations to help us move in exchange for beer and pizza!
