National Geographic 125th Anniversary Gala

Ain't no party like a National Geographic party, 'cause a National Geographic party don't stop… for 125 years. Thanks to our strong relationship with National Geographic, veteran NeoPangeans Aaron Beaucher and Shane Hoffa were invited to make the trek to Washington, D.C. to join in the celebration.

During the party, James Cameron, one of the highest grossing film directors of all time and a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence, stopped to chat with Aaron and Shane. As you may already know, NeoPangea created an award-winning website for Cameron's historic Deepsea Challenge solo dive into the Mariana Trench, so the boys had plenty of things to discuss.

The visit wasn't all champagne and celebrities, however. We also wanted to make sure our latest National Geographic Museum installation, an interactive portrait of the Nat Geo founders, was running smoothly. Learn more about this "magic painting" on our portfolio page.
